The Dailimage is late because I had a billion things to do today, one of them being trying to go to the Marche Républicaine demonstration in Paris, a march to defend values like freedom of speech and freedom of the press and protest against terrorism. By the way, it seems people in the US think Charlie Hebdo is a racist, antisemitic, islamophobic paper, and therefore not worth defending… it’s NOT. It’s just offensive, and for that it is great, now deal with it. I said trying to go because, with about 1.5 million people in the streets, I couldn’t even get close to where the march was starting (see Twitter, #MarcheRepublicaine, for photos).
Anyway, this cute puppy shot presented itself to me towards the end of a night film shoot for the Nikon Festival on the Ourcq canal. Low light = low quality but I just really like it. The owner also had two bigger dogs, you can spot one of them.
Retroactive submission to The Daily Post’s latest photo challenge (I’ve been too busy with Nikon Festival to keep up with the challenges): Shadowed! It fits perfectly, look at the puppy’s little shadow, it’s kind of giraffe-like 😀
